Pocono Kayak Rental

Be the master of your own craft and paddle the Delaware River in one of Shawnee River Trip’s sit-in kayaks for an unforgettable outdoor experience. We offer 3-mile, 6-mile, 13-mile river trips.

Pocono Canoeing

Navigate the scenic Delaware River in one of Shawnee River Trip’s canoes. We offer 3-mile, 6-mile, 13-mile river trips. There is a two-person minimum, and three-person maximum on canoes.

Poconos Rafting

Paddle the serene Delaware River in a large, stable inflatable raft. Rafts are perfect for paddlers who want a communal experience. There is a minimum of four adults, and a maximum of eight adults per raft.

Delaware River Boat Tours

Experience a semi-private tour of the Delaware River on our pontoon boat. Tours run Saturday through Wednesday, on the hour from 12:30 – 6:30 p.m. Trips are approximately 50 minutes and can accommodate up to six passengers. Children must be 3 years or older. Sunset cruise sets sail at 6:30 p.m. and is for adults 21 and older.

Overnight guests of The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort enjoy exclusive access to Shawnee’s Sandy Beach and Private Boat Launch. The general public, locals, friends, and guests of Wyndham Timeshare Units do not have access to the resort's beach or boat launch.

The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort is located on the banks of the nationally designated Wild and Scenic Delaware River. Guests of the resort have exclusive access to our private river access. This means that guests of the Shawnee Inn only need to be transported once, saving valuable time. The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort is the only canoe, kayak and raft livery on the Delaware River that offers 3-mile trips.

Which is better - a canoe, kayak, or raft?

This depends on the experience you desire. A kayak, swift and maneuverable, is ideal for a single paddler. A kayak is the perfect craft for a paddler who is confident in their skills and desires more independence. A canoe requires two paddlers, and are fast but less maneuverable than kayaks. Canoes are great for parties of 2 or 3 who prefer to share a watercraft and desire to have more maneuverability and speed than a raft. A raft is suitable for parties of four to eight passengers. Rafts are incredibly stable and travel slowly in comparison to a kayak or canoe, making them a good choice for families and youth paddlers.

Is it safe to canoe, kayak and raft on the Delaware River?

Shawnee’s section of the Delaware River is calm with rapids not exceeding level one. While the Delaware River near Shawnee is tranquil, it is important to respect the potential risks that are inherent to any water sport activity. Always wear a U.S. Coast Guard Approved life jacket while canoeing, kayaking or rafting on the Delaware River. If you choose to swim in the Delaware River, it is strongly recommended that you do so with a U.S. Coast Guard Approved life jacket.
